To become great, you must choose to allocate your time to your greatest opportunities.

Another not so great week.

I think I’m in a slump. It’s not exactly burnout — I want to create. But one thing after another is hitting me like a car running a red light.

Week 20 has been a disappointment, to say the least.

The only goal I completed:

Writing

I really intended to complete a second short story for Alternate Tales of the Future.

But I struggled with the first few words. This story is not coming to me as easily as my other projects. So, unfortunately, I need to push when I publish this story.

Two more weeks should give me more than enough time.

My writing goal for Week 21 is to get 50% of the second story for Alternate Tales of the Future done.

Design

I’m not sure what I want to do next to develop my design skills.

I feel like my current work is getting repetitive, so I wanted to switch things up. But I’m not sure which direction to go. I’ve seen some advice of trying to replicate designs you see or adding your spin to it as a form of practice.

That is the way to go

My design goal for Week 21 is to create one design with five iterations based on a design I liked.

Illustration

I didn’t draw at all this week.

I could blame it on how busy I was, but I had 15 minutes somewhere to draw. I just didn’t.

I want to change that for Week 21.

My illustration goal for Week 21 is to sketch every day for at least 15 minutes.

Inspiration

Unlike last week, there was nothing of note that I watched or read or learned from.

Week 20 felt like a blur.

I intend to make Week 21 a much better experience for myself.

What are your goals for Week 21 of 2025?
