Towards the end of 2024, I decided to get serious about my art. I wanted to create a space I owned and controlled after seeing how major websites treat artists of any kind. Somewhere I could create a community of women willing to push themselves and each other to be the best that they can be.
I spent my 20s more concerned with stability and financial security, lapsing in many of my creative endeavors in favor of survival. Now, I want to get back into developing those very skills I left to gather dust in the recesses of my mind.
My art focuses on lesbians and our stories. My creative endeavors are focused on representing us and telling our stories. But I also have an interest in helping women, in general, stoke the flames of creativity and create.
The goal is to become a jack of all trades, master of many, document that creative journey, practice in public, and encourage you (yes, you) to do the same. The hope is to build a community of ambitious women who either wish to pick back up or cultivate their own creativity.
This website will be a work in progress. You might see some changes here and there as I learn and grow as a creative.
The plan is to post around 3 – 4 times a week. Monday I reflect on what I achieved in the past week. Wednesdays and Saturdays I post an essay on insights I’ve gleaned from creating or learning how to create. And when I complete a piece of art, I’ll post here before I post anywhere else.
