Reflecting on Week 07 of 2025

What I accomplished and learned
For Week 07, I managed to get more organized.
As I continue to work on various creative endeavors, I’ve really thought about how I want to get my work out there. How I want to present myself and put my best foot forward. How to create a community of creatives and offer solutions to the problems you might face as you adventure out on your own creative journeys.
The conclusion?
Continue to stick to the roadmap and turn when you need to turn. Remain flexible and open to the process.
Writing
I haven’t been able to develop a good writing habit.
That’s my fault. Previously, I made ambitious goals that were beyond what I could accomplish. Lesson learned! Starting small and working myself up is what I should’ve been doing from the beginning.
For next week, I want to make it a habit of writing for at least 30 minutes a day.
I also want to try my hand at some flash fiction. Keep the creative juices flowing as I work on my main story and learn another literary form.
If all goes well, I can share what I wrote next week!
Design
For design, I once again didn’t miss a single day for the 100 Days of Graphic Design challenge.
I’m just on a roll here. But what I think matters most is that I’ve made a habit of creating something, no matter how bad I think it is. I might not be firing on all cylinders, but at least I’m creating something.

Next week, the goal remains the same.
Create a design a day for the 100 Days of Graphic Design challenge.
Illustration
Unfortunately, I made little progress when it comes to illustration.
There is no excuse as to why. I just didn’t make time for illustration like I wanted to. I need to fix that next week.
My goal for next week is to draw for at least 30 minutes every day.
Recap
Overall, this week wasn’t terrible.
But I didn’t hit every goal that I wanted to hit.
Here is what I want to accomplish for Week 08 of 2025:
- Writing: Write for at least 30 minutes a day.
- Design: Don’t miss a day for the 100 Days of Graphic Design challenge.
- Illustration: Draw every day for at least 30 minutes.
All of these goals are very doable even with my 9-5. The goal is to just remain consistent. That is what I ultimately want to accomplish.
Thanks for reading, and let me know what your creative goals are for the coming week!
