Reflecting on Week 09 of 2025

What I accomplished and learned

This week was cut short because I’ll be on vacation ✈️.

Regardless, I got a lot done! More than I thought I would, considering I had to get prepped for my upcoming vacation.

Writing

I’m proud to say that I wrote every day.

Maybe not for thirty minutes like I wanted, but I wrote. Ultimately, that is what matters to me. I have to just write, even if it’s for five minutes. It’s better than not writing all.

Design

I continued to make progress on the 100 Days of Graphic Design Challenge I set for myself.

Funny how designing has become second-nature to me. I often want to do it first thing in the morning. Other priorities prevent that from happening, but I have built a habit that I don’t find myself fighting.

Another win.

I sketched every day, even when it was just lines and circles and squares. What matters to me in the earlier stages of learning how to draw is making a habit out of it. Just like with designing. Just like with writing.

Goals for next week

My goals for next week are simple.

  • Writing: Write every day for at least five minutes every day.
  • Design: Don’t miss a day for the 100 Days of Graphic Design challenge.
  • Illustration: Draw for at least five minutes every day.
