Reflecting on Week 10 of 2025

What I accomplished and learned
For Week 10 I didn’t get as much done as I wanted.
I took a much-needed vacation and visited friends in Florida (the weather was incredible). So I didn’t do anything but relax and recalibrate from Monday to Wednesday. I’ve been pushing myself as of late so it was needed.
While on my flight there and back, I read The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington.
An idea presented in that book I really liked is focusing on your goals for 12 weeks and then taking a week to recalibrate before tackling your goals for another 12 weeks. It’s a way to remain focused without the burnout.
That’s a pace I want to test out in the future.
Writing
I have been writing every day.
I’ve been really hard on myself about my writing, but I did myself a disservice that you can probably relate to — putting too much pressure on yourself.
I wrote. And that is what matters to me the most.
Writing something.
Design
I’m proud that I’m nearing the end of my 100 Days Challenge for Graphic Design.
I plan to write up my thoughts on this journey once I make that last piece. Despite hating, to be quite frank, the majority of my designs, the whole purpose was to practice in public. To not be afraid to show my work.
I have accomplished that and will continue to do until I create the last piece.

Illustration
This week was great for developing my skills as an illustrator.
I managed to sketch every day, even if it was just lines. So I am happy with my what I managed to accomplish with the days I had left for this week. I want to actually start trying to produce more elaborate sketches in the future to continue to develop my skills.
Goals
- Writing: Write for 30 minutes a day.
- Design: Create a design a day.
- Illustration: Observe and draw an object every day.
