Reflecting on Week 11 of 2025

What I accomplished and learned

This week was incredible.

I bounced back from my vacation and managed to hit on all cylinders. I got a lot done this week when it comes to my various creative endeavors. I wrote, I designed, and I sketched every day.

Writing

When it comes to my writing, I managed to write every day and completed a short story I hope to share soon.

As I near the end of my 100 Days of Graphic Design Challenge, I’ve been thinking about what I want to do next. What challenge I would like to take on to develop my skills. Currently, I’m leaning towards creating a flash fiction story a week.

Since my novel is taking longer than I wanted it to, I still would like to be able to practice in public when it comes to my writing. I want to see what ideas work and which ideas don’t.

A great resource I found to help give me writing ideas in the future are these prompts by Reedsy.

Design

I’m nearing the end of my 100 Days of Graphic Design Challenge.

What a journey.

I still have a day left of the challenge, but the journey has been fun. I learned a lot and I will continue to learn as I work on my design skills. I’m still not at the level that I want to be, but now I have the tools to continue to learn and create.

And ultimately, that matters to me.

You can see my designs for this week here:

Illustration

I’m really proud that I managed to sketch every day. Even if for 15 minutes.

That was a big goal for me this week. To make drawing a daily habit. And I definitely achieved that! I’m pleased with my progress.

My focus was to just establish a drawing habit. I achieved that and want to take it to the next level for next week.

Goals for next week

  • Writing: Write for at least 30 minutes a day.
  • Design: Complete 100 Days challenge.
  • Illustration: Draw for at least 30 minutes a day and learn the fundamentals.
