Reflecting on Week 16 of 2025

Week 16 was a fantastic week!
I’m ecstatic with what I accomplished and learned for writing, design, and illustration. After a terrible Week 15, I bounced back pretty nicely.
Writing
After two tortuous weeks working on a werewolf/supernatural flash fiction story, I finally completed and posted it.
You can read the story here: 12:00 AM In A Laundromat.
I wanted to take on a 10-12 week flash fiction challenge, but I have to wave the white flag here. With work and earning a degree, it’s a ton of pressure that I’m putting on myself for no reason. I bit off more than I can chew.
I’ve said this before, but all that matters is that I’m writing.
The goal for Week 17 (next week) is to write every day and try to complete another flash fiction story by Saturday.
Design
Now, for design, I didn’t create the three pieces I wanted to complete.
That’s okay.
Though I don’t have individual pieces to share, I created design covers for Why boredom is a creative’s best friend and 12:00 AM In A Laundromat. So it’s not like I didn’t do jack shit.
However, next week I want to do a better job.
For Week 17, I intend to complete at least three graphic design posters/book covers/whatever.
Illustration
I nearly sketched every day this week!
Hyped about that.
I eventually want to write/draw a comic, but I need to develop my illustration skills to accomplish that. It was always my dream to bring to life the characters I have written about and are currently in my head.
Here are some sketches I created for Week 16:

My illustration goal for Week 17 is to continue to practice the fundamentals of drawing.
