Designs for Week 52 of 2024 while taking on the 100 Days of Graphic Design Challenge.
Day 08

I have a fascination with detailed statues.
For Day 08, I wanted to lean into that fascination. I wanted to essentially create something “cool” and striking. I believe I achieved that. Purple is my favorite color so I wanted to also use that in this design.
Day 09
I really, really love the design I created for Day 08.
I wanted to challenge myself more by using multiple images and arranging them in a way that is appealing. Then, I added some effects to give the images a different feel.

Day 10

For Day 10, I watched a video about Escaramuzas, a female equestrian event in the Mexican charrería and charreada.
It’s an elegant tradition where women ride side-saddle and dress in bright, colored dresses and wear sombreros de charros.
This inspired me to create a design based on the concept of the Escaramuzas, on the cowgirls or vaqueras who participate in these events.

Day 11
For Day 11, I wanted to try my hand with halftones and thresholds (again).
I found this amazing photo of a Greek goddess statue by Bo Ponomari, and wanted to use that image in my design. I like the result and hope to continue to use dark backgrounds with halftones and thresholds.

Day 12

For Day 12, I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to design.
When I get stuck like this, I usually just go through photos on Pexels. I found an image of a woman leaning against a pole, and thought it would be a great image to use. Then, I wanted to work with halftones.
I like the result.

Day 13
For Day 13, I started the design with using a photo of a muscle car.
I wanted to find a typeface that would pair great with the car. Karmano is an excellent typeface I wanted to use to add to the design.

Day 14

Had a lot of fun with Day 14.
For today, I wanted the design to be sensual. So I played around a bit with the concept of the Lilith, a demon. I added a snake (cobra) for some flair.
