Reflecting on Week 22 of 2025

Week 22 wasn’t the week that I wanted it to be.
It’s annoying to be quite honest. I hope your week was much better than mine, and that you managed to achieve your goals.
Writing
The goal for Week 22 was to write at least 1,000 words for my second short story.
I didn’t do that. Not at all. Which sucks.
But for my writing, there was at least one good thing that did happen for Week 22.
I completed this essay on accountability and why it should be embraced — not avoided. Even though I’m struggling to work on my fiction writing, at least I’m staying consistent with my nonfiction essays.
My goal for Week 23 is to write at least 1,000 words for my second short story for Alternate Tales of the Future.
Design
I didn’t exactly copy a design I liked but managed to create something.
Here is a preview of my work:

You can see the rest here.
My design goal for Week 23 is create another design by Sunday.
Illustration
Dammit.
I keep on disappointing myself when it comes to getting better at drawing. I would love to eventually draw a comic or a graphic novel, but I can’t do that if I don’t work on my illustrative skills. I have to be better about making time to draw, even if it’s for 15 minutes.
My illustration goal for Week 23 is to draw every day for at least 15 minutes.
How well did you do for Week 22, and what are your goals for Week 23?
